GInI Launches New Book Addressing Responsible Corporate Growth The Other Side of Growth: An Innovator’s Responsibilities in an Emerging World
GRAND RAPIDS, MI, USA – December 7th, 2020 – Global Innovation Institute – GInI – announces the launch of the new book The Other Side of Growth: An Innovator’s Responsibilities in an Emerging World.
The Other Side of Growth addresses the need for business leaders to stop and think inclusively about the broader consequences of the new innovations they are pursuing – to consider the impacts those new innovations can and will have on a broader array of stakeholders around the world. In doing so, it compels these leaders to ask numerous questions – of themselves, of their businesses, and of their business’ work… questions like, “Are we benefiting a few and the great expense of the many?”, “Are there ways in which our new innovations can be used beyond their intended uses to do more harm than good?”, “What countermeasures are we taking to ensure the growth we are pursuing is done in a way that benefits everyone, and not simply a few?”
The Other Side of Growth is the collaboration of nine highly-sought-after growth and innovation thought leaders from around the world – Mr. Anthony Mills (Global Innovation Institute), Dr. Bettina von Stamm (Innovation Leadership Forum), Dr. Larry Schmitt (The Inovo Group), Mr. Michael Graber (Southern Growth Studio), Mr. Mike Pinder (Board of Innovation), Mrs. Teresa Spangler (PlazaBridge Group), Mr. Steve Wells (Legacy Innovation Group), Mr. Mick Simonelli (Simonelli Innovations), and Mr. Bryan Mattimore (The Growth Engine). Each of these authors contributed a unique chapter to this book reflecting their own personal perspectives on the book’s subject.
Global Innovation Institute considers this book to be very timely and prescient, in that our world has been rocked to its core as of late. Consequently, organizations are waking up to major new dilemmas they’ve never before had to face– including moral and financial ones. There is a collective swell of beleaguerment with business-as-usual – a swell that has finally reached its crescendo. To the point that we are now at the end of an era – and the dawn of a new era – one where businesses no longer have a choice but to be conscientious, and to consider the needs of the many over those of the few.
The Other Side of Growth presents an alternative… a different side to corporate growth… one that grows with responsibility and duty to all. This promises to be a timeless book that every business leader should read.
